Prof. Dr. S B Mujumdar is the Founder and President of Symbiosis and the Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). A renowned academic and educationalist, he has received civilian honour many times from the Government of India. He was awarded Padma Shri in 2005 and Padma Bhushan in 2012. He was also awarded Punyabhushan in 2009. The complete list of accolades is far too long for these pages and includes the Maharashtra Gaurav Award and the FIE Foundation Award.

He was born on 31 July 1935, in Gadhinglaj, Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. He won a Master’s degree in Botany and a Doctorate in Microbiology. He was the Head of the Department of Botany at the Fergusson College, Pune, for over twenty years. He has authored several books and published research papers in botany. He also served on the Executive Council, Senate, and Academic Council of the University of Pune for several years.

Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar is the Pro-Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). She is also the Principal Director of Symbiosis Society, which encompasses the Symbiosis schools and institutions under Symbiosis International (Deemed University). A dream of her father, Dr. S . B Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis, of creating a “home away from home” for international students, Symbiosis today has transformed itself into a multi-disciplinary, multinational, multicultural International University with students from all states of India and international students from 85 different countries.

The University has institutes under 8 faculties, viz. Management, Law, Humanities & Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Computer Studies, Engineering, Media Communication & Design. Dr. Vidya holds a Postgraduate Degree in Medicine, a degree in Law, and a Ph.D. in 'Internationalisation of Higher Education in India'.

To promote international understanding through quality education, she has brought in innovative approaches at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) through international collaborations with some of the top Universities in the world. Dr. Vidya has been able to influence policy regulations for promoting and bringing in innovative approaches to higher education in India through her appointments to various governmental bodies. She has been a member of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE), and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, an accomplished academician and seasoned professional, is the Vice Chancellor at Symbiosis International (Deemed University). With a remarkable educational journey that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, an MBA in Systems and Marketing, and a doctoral degree in Management from Pune University, Dr. Raman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this esteemed institution. His extensive career spanning over two decades is a testament to his diverse experience in the corporate, academic, and research domains.

He has served Symbiosis for over a decade in different capacities including Professor & Director of Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Professor & Director of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – Pune, Dean – the Faculty of Management, and Director – Strategy & Development. Dr. Raman's contributions extend beyond the classroom, as he has been instrumental in fostering international collaborations with universities in Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His prolific research in Information Systems, IT Strategy, Entrepreneurship, AI, and Big Data, has earned him recognition with international academia.

He has published several papers in reputed International Journals indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science.

Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. He graduated from B. J. Medical College, Pune and then pursued a Master's in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1989. He completed a Ph.D. from the University of Pune. He was on deputation at the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman, from 1992 to 1996. He has been a former member of the Board of Governors, Medical Council of India (MCI), Central Supervisory Board-PCPNDT. Governing Council of Consultancy Development Centre (CDC), DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC), Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC). He is also associated with various other professional organisations like FICCI, CII, IMA, FOGSI, ISCCM, SEMI, IHCQF, MCCIA, etc. He has also been nominated by the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra to the ‘Senate of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences’ (MUHS). As a Member of the Steering group of International Health Promoting Universities and Colleges, he aims to influence policies on Health Promoting University & contribute to the Fit India Movement Campaign Committee. Guided several doctoral students and has a large number of publications to his credit.
